When I first began treating clinically, I was on a fairly conventional therapeutic career path, using traditional orthopedic assessment and treatment techniques, a natural extension of my background as an athlete, having run a marathon and played field hockey. A number of years ago I realized that these techniques were only helping my patient so much. I decided to enhance my therapy skills and understanding of the human body by enrolling at the Canadian school of osteopathy in 2010. Osteopathy is a therapeutic practice that is based upon the premise that manipulation of the muscles and bones encourages self-regulation within the body to restore function reduced pain and improved imbalances.

Through my education and experience, I have enjoyed and welcomed the opportunity to continue to learn and improve my skills. I appreciate the interrelationship between structure and function of the human body and recognize the body’s ability to heal itself, and my role to help facilitate that process. I feel passionate about helping people optimize their health and improve their quality of life.
